For those preferring to keep both feet on dry land, there are plenty of other recreational opportunities. Golf is very popular in citrus county and there are a number of fine, world-class courses within minutes of Crystal River.

Crystal River’s historic downtown district is a charming area full of antique shops, specialty stores, old fashioned and gourmet cafes, tea bars and more.

Just a few minutes up the road, the Crystal River Mall houses some large retail chain department stores and electronics stores.
